Honor Lives With a Modern Touch

Today, remembrance doesn’t stop at the grave. My Life in the Dash helps families link memories, photos, and stories to headstones through personalized QR codes—making every legacy accessible with a simple scan.

On most markers for all who have departed we see a date of birth, a dash, and the date of death. With that, most will also have some endearing phrase like “Loving husband and father”, “Devoted son and brother” etc, but nothing that truly tells who the person was.

It’s the life in the dash that is missing. That small mark between the two dates is where the story lies. This website will serve not only as an electronic obituary, but also as an auto-biography. A place to tell that story that easily viewed by anyone interested.

My Life in a Dash

For the grieving family, or the forward thinker who will plan for their own final resting place. We would like you to tell your life story, or the life story of the departed family member. Life growing up, family life, and career path including stories from the people they worked with. Add pictures showing that persons travels and adventures in life.

Once completed and submitted you will receive an electronic QR code that will access the profile and biography that you created. Also a weatherproof printed sticker of the QR code that can be affixed to the marker just under the dash. This will give all family and friends access to the profile anytime they visit.

We’ve all walked through a cemetery at one time or another to pay last respects to or to visit a departed friend or loved one. As we venture through we can’t help but to read the scriptures on the stones as we pass. Sometimes a name might look familiar or you just might be curious. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to open your smart phone, scan the QR code on the stone, look at pictures and read their story.

My dream is to also consult with the artist that create these stones and have the QR code printed on the stone that will further ensure that their story is easily accessible and lives on forever.
